Check out took a long time, I have this problem recently with a clients zen cart system. I'm still modifing it to cut down the amount of confirmation pages.

Comments:
Shipping is a little long, but if you don't hold the stock this can be expected. The forum and account registration should be optional. It can scare customers off. All in all, nice site and great skins.

I understand. Checkout on ours is a 3 page process - shipping selection, billing selection and final confirmation (the standard oscommerce installation). We have many options available for shipping and an increasing number available for billing. We did consider a consolidated checkout page but putting that much information on a single page will be information overload for the customer.

The account is necessary for support and accounting reasons. In fact, the account registration only consists of a single form that is absolutely necessary as it captures information necessary for the order, such as the customer's delivery address and contact information for the delivery.
